I found it to be a reasonably nice yarn to work with, no splitting, nice and stretchy. I chose the size 1 needles because I'm making socks and I felt that both size 2 and size 3 gave me a fabric which was too open to make a comfortable sock.
Other comments:
I'm using it for socks. I've only done the ribbing so far, but it knits up very nicely. I can see using this yarn for a fine-gauge fair-isle sweater, or doubled or tripled, perhaps with mixed colors. The colors I bought were rather subdued (socks for DH, doncha know), and I don't remember if there were brighter colors. However, it was very nice to find fingering yarn in something other than baby colors.

Lovely yarn! I used this for a shawl, with size 4 needles. Very soft, nice to work with, shows the lacy stitches beautifully.
Other comments:
One cone (about a pound) was plenty for a shawl.

I'm not thrilled with the overall quality-- I'm most of the way through a lace shawl and have found one knot and a lot of "fuzzy spots" 1-3 inches long where there was a blob of wool stuck in.
Other comments:
The shawl is coming out very nicely--the yarn is fairly soft, but isn't too fuzzy, so it shows the stitches well. The poorly spun spots aren't very obvious although they might be if I was working in flat stockinette. I agree with the other commenter that a 1 lb. cone is more than enough for a shawl--I'm thinking of making a pair of gloves with what's left over.
