Excellent quality and yardage - good to work with.

Other comments:
I've used this yarn for both color and texture work and I think it works well for both - an excellent general purpose yarn.

Quality comments:
This is a great basic
yarn. Evenly spun,
with almost no knots.
Wears very well. A
sweater made
four years ago still
looks very good after
several washings and
many wearings. Doesn't
pill as much as many,
other more expensive
yarns.

|
Other comments:
I prefer Nature Spun to the better known Lamb's Pride. Excellent value. Color range is good, but not as sophisticated as, say, Jo Sharp or Mission Falls.
But cost is very reasonable and quality is consistently good.

This is the first time
I used this yarn, and I
love it! It is very
soft and "springy". It
is evenly spun, with
the exception of 1
skein which had one
very thin spot which
broke when I reached
it. I just re-joined
the yarn and had no
further problems.
Also, the color is just
beautiful-a very pretty
periwinkle blue. I
actually bought the
yarn because of the
color!

I am making a sweater with a cabled pattern around the bottom and stockinette stitch on the upper body. The cables stand out beautifully, and the St st looks nice and even. It is a wonderful all-purpose yarn at a great price (I paid $5.50/skein). I will definitely buy this yarn in the future.

The colors have never
ran and I haven't
noticed any pilling
problems even though
some of my garments are
three years old. It's
almost soft enough to
be worn against the
skin---almost.

I have made many, many items out of this worsted wool. Shawls, sweaters, purses, felted items. It's a great quality wool for a great price. Large amount of colors available. Shows stitch details and cables nicely. I highly recommend this yarn.

There were no knots or
slubs in the ball that
I used. Very even and
very pleasant feeling.
Very nice color
selection available.

I am making a pair of worsted weight socks out of this yarn. The pattern had called for Homespun which is not as nice. This is the first time I've used this yarn, and I like the way it's working out.

Pills like crazy after
felted. Haven't ever
used it for a non-
felted project.

|
Other comments:
Felts well, but I think that you're better off using Cascade 220 instead. I'm just using up leftovers and will not buy any more of this yarn.

I was very
disappointed. The yarn
had several thin spots
that resulted in
frogging. There was an
approximately 4 yard
length that had to be
unwound and thrown
away. There were also
some slubs. This was
found in more than 1
skein
|
|
Other comments:
I have felted a purse with this yarn and had a hard time controlling the felting and removing the resulting pills. I've been using it for swatches for TKGA and one of the slubs slipped by. Even though I like the softness and stitch definition, I'd be hesitant to consider it for a large project.

I made a whole sweater
out of this yarn. It was
itchy and pilled like
crazy after one or two
wearings.

Other comments:
I won't use it again for a large project. It does make OK socks. In the same price range, Patons Classic Wool is more suited to sweaters.

I had wanted to use this
yarn to knit a sweater
in my school's colors.
The yarn looked great in
the skein but I became
more and more
disappointed with it the
mnore I knit with it.
It didn't seem to be
spun tightly enough and
felt that it would pill
given half a chance.
|
|
Other comments:
I returned the rest of the yarn to the store and bought Cascase 220 instead, imo a much nicer yarn at a better price.
