Quality comments:
I've had no problems with this yarn; I've used about 10 skeins for various projects with only one or two knots. Occasional splitting, but nothing annoying.
Other comments:
Paton's calls it a DK. I'd call it a light worsted; it will knit at 5 - 5.5 st = 1inch. I've used this yarn in kid's sweaters and summer sweaters for me. It has more elasticity than a pure cotton, which makes it easier on my hands and wrists. It's smooth textured and takes well to pattern stitches and lace. The Paton's version seems a little silkier than the Brunswick; however, they both have the same yardage and knit to same gauge. Both have a nice smooth cottony feel, and make comfortable next-to-the skin garments. No trace of acrylicy-shine. The kid's sweaters I've made have held up well; although I suspect they are not machine-dried. I have machine washed and dried swatches; there was no shrinkage, and there was slight color fading. Becuase of the cotton content, I still wash and dry swatches in this yarn before I start a garment. I like this yarn alot; it's one of my favorite cotton blends.
