Nine skeins used -- one knot. Skeins of even length.
Other comments:
This was used for a rectangular shawl -- Horseshoe Lace pattern. Yarn has an interesting texture(thick and thin slub) that makes up into an interesting casual shawl -- the rayon content gives it some shine and keeps it from seeming to "rustic". Would not use this for anything fitted or shaped, as it has the characteristic "droop" of all of its fibers. It is really nice, though, for a casual lace project.

This is a thick worsted weight, not a sport yarn!! Making Diamond Patch Sweater (this is the recommended yarn). Easy to knit with, goes well on metal needles. Drags somewhat on bamboo. Color intense and saturated, as is a lavender I have in stash.
Other comments:
Thick and thin texture and rayon shine makes it tricky to pick up stitched accurately, or to sew seams properly. However, this also means small errors are nicely disguised. The finished cap-sleeve sweater is going to weigh a ton.
