Smooth yarn with only a couple of knots in the cone. Some splitting occured, but was expected because Cotton Fleece (heavier weight version of the same) splits too. Good stitch definition.

Other comments:
This yarn only comes in a cone. I did not wind the yarn off the cone into balls, but just knit directly from the cone. I imagine wound balls could get tangled towards the end with this yarn. I think this yarn would be wonderful for socks.

Be sure when using this
yarn to set the color.
It is not color fast
and the directions for
washing on the skein
band must be followed
carefully. I didn't and
my patriotic socks
bleed horribly. Be wise
and don't make my
mistake.

Nice range of colors
with a lovely sheen.
There was a little
splitting, but overall
Cotton Fine was easy to
work with. Even at the
tighter gauge, the
final fabric has a
wonderful hand: soft,
cushy, with the cool
absorbancy of cotton. I
haven't been wearing
the socks long enough
to comment on overall
durability, but so far
they're fine aftera
couple months of
frequent wearing and
washing.

Other comments:
This yarn makes -very- comfortable socks that can be worn year-round. I used two 50 gr. skeins for one pair of women's medium with plenty to spare. I plan to make several more pairs -- I like Cotton Fine better than the cotton/wool/nylon yarns from Lang, Regia, etc. (And the price is great!)

Strangely, the skein
appeared to be tangled
when I opened it. As I
used it, I had to undo
countless tangles and
snarls. This did not
affect the finished
product, but it was a
little irritating.
Wind it into a ball
first, I think.

Other comments:
This yarn has some wool content that gives it more resilience than cotton alone. I made cabled socks with it, and got a lovely, firm fabric with a very slight sheen that does not pill or fuzz. It is very fine, and it has a tendency to tangle that I can't explain. However, it is otherwise easy to work with, does not split or twist, and feels wonderful to wear.

I knitted this yarn
from skeins, and don't
remember finding knots -
at least, not enough
to be bothersome. This
is a very smooth yarn,
and very pretty knitted
up. The skeins do fall
apart if you work from
the center, which can
be highly annoying.

Other comments:
I used this yarn as a substitute for Debbie Bliss's Wool Cotton in a baby dress. It suited remarkably well, although the wool cotton is slightly thicker and a bit more fuzzy. It has very good stitch definition.
